Overview

The Campus Asia PKU-UTokyo-SNU Double Degree is a double master’s degree program in International Relations and Public Policy where students obtain two master’s degrees separately from their home institution and the first partner institution while enjoying one semester of non-degree exchange at the second partner institution.

This dual degree program aims to enrich study abroad experiences for Chinese, Japanese, and South Korean students through well-coordinated course offerings. Students will have the opportunity to gain a more profound learning experience about international issues in the three countries. The dual degree program lasts for up to three academic years.

Entry Requirements

1. Only full-time Japanese or Korean students registered at GraSPP of the University of Tokyo can be accepted into the Campus Asia Dual Degree Program. Applicant should hold a valid passport.

2. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or above from an institution of recognized standing.

3. Applicants are required to provide valid English test certificates - IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 100(IBT).

Program Content

The School of International Studies at Peking University, hereinafter referred to as SIS, announces the opening for 2021-entry applications of the PKU-UTokyo Campus Asia Master’s Dual Degree Program, for Japanese or Korean students studies at the University of Tokyo. The objective of this dual-degree program is to enrich the study abroad experience of participating students. Japanese or Korean students will have the opportunity to gain a more profound learning experience about international issues in China.
Combining empirical and theoretical approaches, this program focuses on in-depth studies in politics, foreign affairs, and social development of contemporary China, with courses taught and theses written in English.
Students participating in the Dual Degree Program between GraSPP and SIS (“dual degree students”) and having fulfilled all its requirements will be granted both a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from GraSPP and a Master of Law in International Studies (ML) degree from SIS.

  • Personal statement (1000 words).
  • Graduation certificate and degree diploma, must be original or certified copies either

in Chinese or English.

  • Official transcripts, original or certified copies either in Chinese or English.
  • Two original letters of academic reference.
  • English language proficiency certificate.

Fees and funding

Students will be exempted from tuition and application fees at Peking University.

Campus Asia Program students will receive Chinese Government Scholarship during their study at PKU, which provide students a monthly living stipend (3,000RMB/month) and an assigned accommodation on campus. Students will be informed to complete the scholarship application.
