Profile:
Professor Hao Ping graduated with a Ph.D. in International Relations from Peking University.  He once served as President of Beijing Foreign Studies University; Vice Minister and Member of CPC Leading Group of Ministry of Education; Chairman of Chinese National Commission for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO); President of the 37th Session of the UNESCO General Conference; Vice Chair of the Peking University Council; President; and later Chair of the Peking University Council.
He is currently a Member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress and Vice Chair of its Foreign Affairs Committee; Executive Vice President of the International Confucian Association; and Chair of the National Committee on the Collation and Research of Ancient Books in Higher Education Institutions.
