Registration and Tuition Fee

1.Registration
According to university procedures, students on campus should register. Students must register in person and show student I.D. No one can register in your place. Before registering, students must have already paid tuition. Without records of tuition paid in full, students may not register. Registration generally may take place during the first week of classes.
Students for the Double-degree Programme will register at International student Division, Office of International Relations at Peking University during the first week of September.

If for some reason a student can not register on schedule, he or she must ask to take a leave of absence. Those who do not take a leave of absence, do not receive approval to take a leave of absence, or do not register in time are considered to be skipping class (an unexcused absence). Those who still have not registered more than two weeks after the appointed time must leave the school and the university, according to strict policy, will cancel their status as a student.
2.Tuition Fee
1)Rules for Payment of Tuition
· Those who study more than one an academic semester, but not a full year, should pay a year's full tuition. Those who study one academic semester or less should pay for half a year's tuition.
·International students should pay tuition promptly and in full. Upon arrival, new students should pay a full year's tuition.
·The deadline for paying tuition is the last day of registration.
2)Rules for Tuition Refund
·If permission is given for an international student to take a leave of absence, tuition for the period of absence will not be returned. It will be extended to the academic quarter in which the student returns to the school.
·Students who receive permission to leave the school or change student status, should follow the guidelines for leaving the school and apply for the following refunds:

Time of Departure	Refund Percentage
Before the first day of registration	100%
Within the first 30 days of the quarter	50%
After the first 30 days of the quarter	No refund (0%)

 

(Note: The first day of registration is Monday of the first week of the quarter according to the Academic Calendar )
·If new students desire to leave the school once they have registered, the tuition of the first semester will not be refunded.
·10% of refunds are allocated to administrative procedures. This fee should be paid in either RMB or US dollars.
3) Other Related Expenses
·Leave of Absence Registration Fee
Students with permission to take a leave of absence must pay a leave of absence registration fee of $200 US for every quarter missed. This registration fee should be paid before the day of registration for the quarter to be missed.
