of International Politics
The Department of International Politics
offers courses on world politics, international relations
and Chinese politics. It has three M.A. programs (international
politics, international relations, and the history of the
Chinese Communist Party) and two Ph.D. programs (international
politics and international relations). Both Ph.D. programs
are state designated key programs. The Department has 16
faculty members including 8 full professors, 7 associate
professors and 1 lecturer.
Curriculum and Research: theories of international
politics, history of international relations, international
organization and regimes, comparative politics, Chinese
politics, Taiwan Studies', Hong Kong, Macau Studies, Overseas,
Chinese studies, Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia etc.
Chair: Li Yihu; Vice Chairs: Zhang XiMen
and Lian Yuru.
Department of Diplomacy
Established in 1996, the Department of
Diplomacy has two M.A. programs (China¡¯s foreign policy
and diplomacy) and one Ph.D. program (diplomacy).
Curriculum and Research: theories and
research methods of diplomacy, diplomatic system, instruments
and practice diplomacy, history of Chinese foreign policy,
China's diplomatic thoughts, contemporary foreign policy
of China, China's diplomatic strategy, and diplomatic history,
diplomatic thoughts and foreign policy of major powers.
